The Penan are a nomadic aboriginal people living in Sarawak

The Penan are a nomadic aboriginal people living in Sarawak. Penan are one of the last such peoples remaining as hunters and gatherers. The Penan are noted for their practice of 'molong' which means never taking more than necessary. Most of the 10-12,000 Penan now live in settled communities, but continue to rely on the forest for their existence. Some still live largely nomadically.
