Nomadic Penan may come to a Kelabit longhouse in order to make their application

The Penan man is seated on the floor, other tribemmen around him looking on. The Penan men wear arm bands of wood and leg bands of plant fibre. They also have stretched earlobes, in which they wear rings. Only the Penan wore bead necklaces tight around their throat, as can be seen in this photograph.
