The estuary in Miri around the middle 1990's

 The estuary in Miri around the mid-1990's, the Jetty in Malay Island is still there, only a few years later the Jetty was demolished and there is a new Miri estuary established nearby there. This scene remains as a memory now,because the area has been dug up and the latest development has established there.

Miri Gateway Arch at Tamu Muhibbah,this arch has long demolished and now part of a new flyover - Circa 8th March 1987. There are two gateway arch in Miri including this one,the other was at nearby Miri airport.Also got demolished few years back for the cause of widening the road.

Old Police Station Kuching

Kuching Old Police Station,located at junction of Carpenter Street ( Opposite Round Tower ).Beside this Police Station is Brooke Horse Stable.The Police Station and the Horse Stable demolished to make way fro new General Post Office Building.The Police Station then moved to current Central Police Station nearby Padang Central while the horse Stable moved to Jalan Lumba Kuda.

Brooke Dockyard

Brooke Dockyard ,nearby Kuching District Mosque.Now closed and moved to Senari Port at Sejingkat area.In near future this place will become Museum,a "Samudera Museum" literally meaning a Sea Museum.

Kuching Prison (Circa 1946) Square tower is part of the Prison Building.The other building demolished few years later as Kuching Prison moved to bigger place which is at Jalan Tabuan,near to Kuching Reservoir.

Government Barrack at Jalan Were

Government Barrack at Jalan Were.The name of this road merely hard to pronounced but easyly known among Kuchingite.This building was situated nearby to Telekom Malaysia office.As we can see the white building behind this barrack .Now part of this area are garden and some part of it ,is now Sugar Bun building.

Old St.Joseph Cathedral

St. Joseph Cathederal , a Church with Gothic style.Located at infront of St.Joseph school.This church demolished after new church build nearby.,it was demolished because the structure of the church is old and will become a threat to the church members.

Construction of Kuching Post Office Building

Construction of Post Office Kuching Building . ( Circa 31.12.1930 ) We can see Old St.Thomas Cathedral beside the construction.Before construction of the said Post Office building,that place was a Horse Stable belongs to Brooke family and beside the Stable is old Police Station. The Police station then move to current Central Police Station while the stable move to Padungan area and later known as Padang Lumba Kuda ( Now Padang Jubilee ) which is in vicinity of Kampung Lumba Kuda.
