 TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
- TRAM ROUTE
- BUS ROUTE

Public bus and tram are provided in this town centre. People can park their car at Kuching central and take the public bus to their destination. Meanwhile, the purpose of the tram is also similar to the public bus. However, it passes India street and carpenter street which vehicles are not allowed to enter.

PUBLIC SPACES
- GREEN BELTS
- PADANG MERDEKA
- POCKET PARK

Greenbelts create a green network system, placing low & high rise buildings in packages while difficult to cross it by cars. Padang Merdeka and pocket park provide recreational opportunities. These areas improve air quality within urban areas and also protect the unique character of rural communities that might otherwise be absorbed by expanding suburbs.

CONNECTIVITY
The Transportation hub, Kuching central is connected to the hotel and convention centre so that people can get to one of these places without having to cross the busy road.

PUBLIC AMENITIES
Drinking fountain are found in the pocket park. Besides, pedestrian bridges are built around the urban area to assist people from crossing the highway. Lastly, public restroom which also serve the disabilities are available in Downtown Kuching.

BUSINESS & ACTIVITY
The greenbelt are surrounded by low and high*rise building which consist of restaurant, café, mini market and alike. Where people can also carry out their personal activities at the greenbelt.

CULTURE & HISTORY LANDMARKS
The tram carries different ethnicity of Sarawak such as the Iban, Bidayu, Melanau and others bumiputera. Inside the tram itself also provides general information about these ethnics. This approach is to spread the basic knowledge of the culture and history of Kuching to the community.

LANDMARKS
The landmark of this town centre is the radiant tower which is located at Padang Merdeka. It acts as gateway to downtown. Padang merdeka is situated between the greenbelts which is connected and accessible by the pedestrian bridge.

INFRASTRUCTURES
Our design is to add more pedestrian walkways and traffic light throughout the town centre to distinct and achieve safety for pedestrians and bicylist
