The estuary in Miri around the middle 1990's


 The estuary in Miri around the mid-1990's, the Jetty in Malay Island is still there, only a few years later the Jetty was demolished and there is a new Miri estuary established nearby there. This scene remains as a memory now,because the area has been dug up and the latest development has established there.

 Land Dayak Men of Sarawak,Circa 1930's.The bamboo boxes at their belt contain tobacco, matces and betel nut and siri to chew.Generally the loose end of the chawat or loin cloth,hangs from the belt,but the young swell with the bead necklace has tucked the corner of his chawat into belt,so as to be dressed alittle differently from the others.

 A view of the shophouse next to the Forestry Department building on Jalan Gartak. Behind this building is the Yayasan Sarawak  building. The Forestry Department building was demolished around the end of the 1980's and replaced by the Saujana Building.In early 1990's until early 2000's,this place is known for public transport waiting areas such as buses and vans.

A Penambang paddles his boat from Pengkalan Batu to Pengkalan Sapi


 A Penambang paddles his boat from Pengkalan Batu (behind) to Pengkalan Sapi. This picture was taken in the middle1980's. The scenery around Pangkalan Batu and Pangkalan Sapi at that time was different from the scene today.

Now Pengkalan Batu is part of the Kuching Waterfront, while Pengkalan Sapi is the area of ​​the new Sarawak State Legislative Assembly.

Masjid Jamek or also known as Masjid lamak Miri


 Masjid Jamek or also known as Masjid lamak Miri , that located opposite Mega Hotel Miri.The Location at the centre of Miri town because during in 1980's and before,this mosque was surrounded with houses (kampung dagang,kampung Wireless).All surrounded area has been developed,kampung houses are replaced with shophouses and high rise building.

Old mosques in Bintulu


 Among the old mosques which still exist in Sarawak is the mosque in Kampung Masjid, Bintulu. The first mosque constructed by local Muslims in Bintulu was built in 1917 in the Kampung Masjid on the same site as it is today.

In the 1950s, the first mosque was demolished and replaced with a new building on the same site as still available today.

Kuching town view in 1969


 Kuching town view in 1969,there are some different view compare to current view.In the area near Fort Magherita, in this era there is a Police Barrack which is the "Pasukan Polis Hutan Barrack" which later became known as PGA. There is also a primary school nearby which is SRK Gersik. The police barrack was moved around the mid 2000's to Batu Kawa where the nearby area has now been built the new Dewan Undangan Negeri.
