When the initial construction plan was drawn up in 1977, the Hopoh Guest House Building would be built with nine floors. Due to financial problems, it was reduced to five floors.
At that time, Wisma Hopoh was a shopping paradise for visitors.
For everyone's knowledge, the first and oldest KFC restaurant in Sarawak is located at Wisma Hopoh.

Simpang tiga area in Kuching

 Simpang tiga area in Kuching.This place was known as Federal Government area where most of the Office are from Federal Government and half are from State Government (Land Survey).Few years later Office are mostly move to Petra Jaya area and then it was replaced with Swinburne University,plus the new Shopping Complex which is the Spring was build nearby.

Upwell departmental Store at Wisma Phoenix

Old Upwell Shopping Centre at Wisma Phoenix, Jalan Song Thian Cheok.This place was a famous place for Shopping in 1980's to 1990's until it closed in middle 2000's and moved into two different location which is at nearby Kubah Ria and at Jalan Song.

Half of shops in this building was convert to Hotel ( Hotel 360 ) where 1st floor fully become hotel room while registration counter at the ground floor.While the other half of former Upwell store in ground floor are mostly vacated.Only a few shop and business remain in business there now.

Paragon and Street Mall in Bintulu

Salah satu bandar yang semakin berkembang pesat di Sarawak adalah Bintulu,beberapa tahun lepas Bintulu agak ketinggalan dari segi pembangunan dan Infrastruktur.Namun sejak beberapa tahun kebelakangan ini Bintulu sudah dikatakan berdiri sama tinggi dan duduk sama rendah dengan bandar-bandar lain di Sarawak.

Namun secara kontranya,apakah akan terjadi kepada kawasan kawasan  penempatan berhampiran ?adakan akan dipindahkan untuk pembangunan dan sedikit sebanyak bakal menghilangkan Jati Diri dan Imej Bandar Bintulu kelak.

Wisma Saberkas

Wisma saberkas dirasmikan sekitar 30 tahun yang lepas iaitu pada tahun 1985.Pada ketika itu,hanya ada beberapa bangunan tinggi yang ada di bandaraya Kuching.Pada zaman kegemilangannya,Saberkas menjadi tempat tumpuan orang ramai untuk membeli belah.Dahulu.terdapat open air food centre di aras atas shopping kompleks ini.Ianya ditutup sekitar awal tahun 2000.

Mungkin kerana sudah mendapat kurangsambutan ..Bahagian atasnya pula terdapat pejabat-pejabat kerajaan negeri seperti Jabatan Pengairan dan saliran,Jabatan Kerja Raya,Pejabat Saberkas dan lain-lain lagi.Dalam era moden sekarang,terdapat berbelas Shopping Kompleks yang lebih besar dan mewah dari Wisma saberkas serta menyediakan pelbagai jenis barangan yang mahal dan bertaraf antarabangsa.Walaupun  adalah mustahil untuk bersaing dengan komplek-kompleks membeli belah itu,namun masih ada pekedai yang berniaga di sini dan masih ada pelawat yang datang untuk membeli belah.

Sekarang,Wisma Saberkas terkenal dengan tempat jualan barangan dan gadget eletronik.Barangan yang paling besar,yang kecil,baru serta alat ganti boleh diperolehi di sini.Diharap satu masa kelak,Wisma Saberkas dapat berdiri megah kembali seperti dahulu dan ramai orang akan membanjiri kompleks ini semula.

Mydin will be open three new branches in Kuching.First at Bandar Baru Semariang,second at City One and the third one at Vista Tunku. The Opening of Mydin Bandar baru Semariang is on 26th August 2016.
