 Jalan Crookshank located in between Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg and Jalan Tan Sri Ong kee Hui.This Crookshank road name was from Arthur Chichester Crookshank,cousin of the first Rajah,Sir James Brooke and served as government Officer under him and the second Rajah from 1843 to 1873.

From 1862 until his retirement,Mr Crookshank held the position of Chief Secretary and on two ocassions was in charge of the Government during the Rajah Absence's in England.

Lebuh Jawa ,photo aboved in 1999,and the second one from recent years.There's a lot activities on the area during those days, full of people commuting through the bus station,local farmers selling fresh produce,garment store selling items.Nowadays this place become a regular road with only regular activities.

Jalan Blacksmith Kuching

Jalan Tukang Besi or Lorong Blacksmith ,nearby Jalan Petanak and Jalan Ang Cheng Ho.This photo probably taken in 1970's.This area call Lorong Blacksmith because this area well known as Blacksmith area (tukang besi).

This place is one of the workshop area where they doing their job,i clearly can remember the smell and sound of this place.Smell like an iron burning and sound of iron clinking.

Nearby this place there was ajetty connecting to Malay Kampung in across the river,the jetty is connecting to Kampung Panglima Seman Lama (Kampung Buah).Beside doing blacksmith,this people also specialist in doing a special rope.It's a heavy duty rope and only produce here.

This whole area has been demolished and developed into high rise condominium ( The Riverine Suite) The whole community has been located to other places in Kuching.

Jalan Bukit Hantu

Jalan Bukit Hantu ,dengar namanya pun sudah cukup seram.Terdapat pelbagi kisah seram dan "urban legend" berkisar di kawasan ini.

Lokasinya terletak di persimpangan Jalan Batu Lintang,terdapat sebuah kondominium di puncak Bukit ini.Kondominium lama ini pernah dijadikan sebagai asrama untuk pelajar UITM semasa cawangan UITM Sarawak masih menggunakan kampus Institut Perguruan Batu Lintang satu ketika dahulu.

At bakun damn junction

Berhampiran simpang ke Empangan Bakun di jalan Miri Bintulu..kalau di titik simpang ini,jarak ke bintulu adalah lebih dekat lagi jika dibandingkan dengan Jarak ke Miri,pekan yang terhampir adalah simpang batu Niah..Kedai makan dan stesen minyaknya beroperasi 24 jam.Namun tiada apa yang menarik yang dilihat berhampiran kawasan ini,kebanyakannya adalah Pokok Sawit,pokok sawit dan pokok sawit..ada juga rumah panjang di tepian jalan tapi tidak banyak..bagi sesiapa yang meminati cabaran terutama bagi yang bermotosikal ,anda dijemput untuk menunggang di Jalan ini.banyak yang dapat dipelajari dan bakal dilihat terutama bagi mereka yang dari luar Sarawak.

Selangor or Selangau??

To those whose not familiar with sarawak town or small town( if you're from west malaysia or sabah) you will amazed to know that there is a small town not far from Sibu town known as Selangau..huhu..sound near to the name state of Selangor..but it really called as Selangau,and not related to the langau ..hehehe.

Not far from selangau town is junction to Mukah,the distance from selangau to Mukah and selangau to Sibu is same,around 80 km..
