Jambatan Gantung Satok in 1970's

 The community gathered near the Satok Suspension Bridge in the early 1970's. On that particular time, there is only this bridge available to cross the river. In addition to pedestrians, this bridge can support motorcycles, cars and small buses to cross the river. Only in the middle 1970's, the Tun Abdul Rahman Bridge built next to it, this bridge is only used by pedestrians

The Old Jambatan Gantung Satok

 There is new Jambatan Gantung Satok which are nearby to Kubah Ria and acrossing to Satok area,but there is photo of the old Jambatan Gantung Satok which open since 1920's.The old Jambatan Gantung Satok is bigger and can make car or a little bus to use it,compare to current Jambatan Gantung Satok which only can took people and bicycle only.

Sarawak Barrage

 Bird eye view of Sarawak Barrage, the first in South East Asia. The main function is controlling the flow and current of Sarawak River, since middle of 1990's.

The construction of the barrage consisting of three phase.
1. Bako causeway ( Tambak bako )
2. The Barrage ( The land connecting from demak to isthmus dug and divided to make a short canal, barrage and a bridge )
3. Pending Causeway ( Connecting pending mainland to Isthmus )

Jambatan Sungai Arang

 Jambatan Sungai Arang located on the way to Marudi,the river is not too big.Before the bridge,the only way acrossing the river is by a ferry.Not a big ferry like we used to see at Sibu,Pusak,or Samarahan,but just a small ferry that can commute car,lorry and related vehicles.

The new Jambatan Gantung Satok

 The new Jambatan Gantung Satok finally ready after some problem delaying the Construction last year.The new Jambatan Gantung Satok difference a little bit from the old version of it.During early years of the Jambatan Gantung Satok in 1940's until 1970's,The old bridge can carried a car and small bus (the mosquito bus).This new bridge slightly only for people walk on it,no heavy vehicle can pass through it,furthermore the entry from both side of river are stairs thus this prevent Car even Motorcycle using it.

Satok suspension bridge

Satok suspension bridge, Circa early 1990's.The original bridge collapse in early 2000's,earlier than that the bridge has been closed for publics as for security issue.It is not safe because of the rusty part of the bridge.
