Banka Building or Bangunan Banka,what actually Banka ? Actually Banka is localized word for Bunker.A corrupted English language.
The warf as we can seen in the photo is call The Bunker Wharf and also known as the Lorna Doone Wharf.
Next to the Lorna Doone wharf where a large storage of coal for bunker to steamers. Also known as government store for making delivery of supplies to various outstations by various boats berthed at the wharf.That is the origin the name of the building. Later came to be known as Garment Store where clothings were bought and sold there. Then it was demolished along with the Cekor Market.
