 Saturday 3rd August 1963 at 8 am the memorial was unveiled to the four policemen who died trying to defend the Police Station in the initial rebel attack and the five Marines who died when Limbang was retaken.

Attacked on Limbang started on 8th December 1962 and end on 12th December 1962.
