Crocodiles are not especially common in Sarawak but they are responsible for an occasional death. They are found not only in the rivers but along the coast as well.Quite number of people specialise in the catching of the crocodiles which are generally speared at night by lamplight.
Unfortunately the crocodiles which are best worth catching are the smaller and less dangerous ones as the valuable belly skin decreases sharply in value with size. Two men at Samarahan catching the smaller size of Crocodile.Photo Circa 1950's.
