Kuala Baram Ferry circa 1950's

Kuala Baram Old Ferry's - Circa 1950's . Before Jambatan Kuala Baram ready by early 2000's ,Ferry is the only transportation connecting the old Kuala Baram small town area to other side of river (mainly call as Sungai Tujuh area). This photo shows the old Ferry, the new Ferry is bigger and commute lot of Cars and other vehicles.

Back then ,(early 2000's) kuala BaramTown is a happening place, ecspecially on the weekend.Lot of Indonesian ,which work nearby Factories come loafing here as this small town is the nearest place to have some shops compare if they goto Mirior Lutong which cost more money and time for transportation.

The Bruneian also flock to Miri almost every weekend and on this time it will be 3 or 4 times busy than the other days. The Boat Express Wharp to Ulu Baram also located here, the destination is to Marudi,Long lama,Mulu and other small places.

Since the opening of Kuala Baram Bridge,i never been to old Kuala baram town again, hearsay saying that this place still open with small and limited shops catering for people working nearby.
