Gambier Street in 1960's

Gambier Street and Java Street in the 60's - the old Central Business District of Kuching in the past where merchant trade spice, textile & almost everything under the sky, coffee shops. hawker stalls, buses & taxis waiting for passengers, upriver & coastal vessels unloading bananas, coconuts & other local fruits. 

However some buildings have been demolished including shutting down of the wet market due to hygiene concerns, to make way for the waterfront extension project.

Miri New Airport (Old Building) circa 1988.This Old building can be seen until early 2000,s where new modern building replaced this old one just nearby this Building.
