Every town in Sarawak have their own trademark,Kuching with Cat ,Serian with Durian,Sarikei with Nanas,Miri with the Sea Horse (?????) and Sri Aman icon is white Dove..
Why??Semanggang or Simanggang is the original place for this town,during confrontation time between the goverment and the communist,Simanggang town become the place where both parties gathered to discuss dealing peace..and then the town simanggang change into Sri Aman( Peace) while the white dove is a symbol of peace and harmony,So then the icon(dove) until today synonym to Sri Aman.
