Bangunan Yayasan Sarawak located behind the Tun Abdul Razak Hall.this building was demolished few years ago and becoming The Sarawak Museum parking area.Located at Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg,behind the Sarawak Heritage Islamic Museum and nearby to RTM Office.Now Yayasan Sarawak quarters can be found nearby to Bandar Baru Semariang area.New office and quarters can be found there.

Sarawak Union Club on the present site of Merdeka Palace
The present site of Merdeka Palace formerly the Aurora Hotel, was actually occupied by the Sarawak Union Club.In 1952,the construction of Aurora was announced and the new building would be build on the Club's site.The new premises of the Sarawak Union Club was opened by Bishop Cornwall on 3rd November 1953.

Malay marriage of Sarawak
Marriage has strongly religious significance.Before a wedding in Kuching,the bride reads the Koran at a prayer meeting attended by the neighbours.Behind her is the marriage bed.The display of ornamental skewered eggs which are painted red appears to be alocal Sarawak custom.Circa 1950's.

Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui
Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui and Wife,he was the President of the Sarawak United People's Party (founded 12 June 1959).
He was bestowed the titles "Datuk" later upgraded to "Dato' Sri" (PNBS) and "Datuk Amar" (DA) by the Sarawak State Government, "Datuk" (PGDK) by the Sabah State Government and "Tan Sri" (PMN) by the Government of Malaysia.
The Malaysian Institute of Chemistry also awards the Tan Sri Datuk Ong Kee Hui Postgraduate Chemistry Award to candidates who produce an outstanding thesis.
In Kuching, there is a road named after him, called Jalan Ong Kee Hui. The headquarters of the Sarawak United People's Party sits here.

Sarawak produces many tropical fruits.A small chinese girl sits by Family stall at Binatang(Bintangor). She is selling oranges,bananas,rose apples,and belimbing.Althought it might be thought that in a tropical country there would be little demand for temperate zone fruits,suprising quantities of oranges,apples grapes and pears are imported to bazzars.Circa 1950's.

The Malay Kabong girl
The Malays are not commercially minded and most of their business,when they exist at all,are quite tiny.In Kabong, a young girl hawk cakes made from glutinous rice and coconut for sale for the neighbours.Such cakes and cup of sweet coffee constitute the breakfast of Malay villager.Circa 1950's.

The Chinese Gardener house
The house of Chinese Gardener near Kapit Bazzar,ramshakle and tumbledown,with great strings of washing hung out to dry and piles of firewood under the house.Such a house does not indicate great wealth on the part of the owner but it is highly probable that he will eventually save enough to build himself a substantial residence for the enjoyment of his old age.Circa 1950's.

Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman in early 1970's.During this time, many buildings have not been built yet around this area, around the end of the 1970's, there was a Holiday Inn Hotel built on the left side, while in the middle there was "Wisma Oriental".
At the end of the 1980's, on the right side there was the Riverside Majestic, while around the 1990's in the cinema section behind "Wisma Oriental" there was Wisma Tun Jugah while across Wisma Tun Jugah now the Sheraton Hotel was built next to Wisma UTC.

Machinda Club Lutong
These were the committee members of Machinda Club Lutong in 1965.Machinda stands for MAlay, CHinese, INdian and DAyak.
The club was originally established as both Machinda Club and Lutong Recreation Club separately, and is one of few family recreational clubs in Miri, and the only one in Lutong.
At the time, the Machinda Club catered for the labor category of the Shell employees whilst the Lutong Recreation Club catered for junior staff. These two later combined and was renamed Lutong Recreational Club and by 1979 it was called Lutong Shell Club (Kelab Shell Lutong), the building which is built on the site of the old Machinda Club.
By 2006, the name, logo and constitution were changed and approved by Registrar Of Society, and the club was renamed as Kelab Rekreasi Petroliam.
