The groom and the bride will sit facing each other, then the assistant will open the lid of the rice with a count of 1, 2, 3. The groom and the bride will quickly fight to take the rice and feed it to each other's mouths. Who is the fastest is counted as the winner.

The shape of the penambang in the ulu area(Pengkalan Batu,Pengkalan Boyan and Kampung nearby) is different from the penambang at Kampung Sourabaya and downstream. The shape of this penambang is an example of a penambang that we can see here.Most of penambang owner here are from local Kampung compare to Penambang rider at Ulu are from Kota Samarahan.Photo taken in 1999.
