Mermaid Statue In Sebuyau

This Mermaid Statue is located In Sebuyau.Sebuyau is a small town located border of Sri Aman and Simunjan.This town known to the fresh Ikan Terubok.That's whay thereis also a statue of Ikan terubok nearby the Statue of the Mermaid.

As to the Mermaid Statue and rhino statue,i don't have any source of story to connect both Statue to Sebuyau .Maybe once upon a time there was rhino nearby and mermaid swimming with Terubok there.

Sebuyau people consist of Malay and Iban and most of them workig as Fisherman and farmers.

Once Upon a Time In Kuching

Usual scenery at Kapit , upper river of Sibu.The main transportation from outside world to this place is by river.Motorcycle put in express boat and upon arrival,these Strongman will fetch the Motorcycle.It's easy when high tide ,but when low tide,the water reach the most minimum level and it's take about 50 step to the main jetty.

Old Kuching Airport

If you have been to Kuching from 1970's 1980's,1990's , you will be familiar wiyh this scenery. This is some photo of Kuching Old Airport. The new Airport building is still on the same place but more bigger and more accommodation inside. Once,this airport considered partly open aired but now mostly are close and full air conditioning with 3 levels which the ground floors is for arrival and the third floor are for departure.

2016 is a historical year for Sarawak as this year,22nd July declared as Public Holiday for the State of Sarawak.Thus ,todaythe day call as Sarawak day.All state dignitary from Minister,Chief Minister,All three Deputy Chief Minister with other VIP gathered at Kuching waterfront for official Celebration remembering the 53 rd annual Sarawak Independence day.
