A winnowing rice process


A grandmother winnowing rice.A process extracting non rice particle from rice. In those days,people got raw rice from the farm,this process is really need from extracting the non eaten part.Nowadays machine do most of this job,this process still in practice in some area where people got their rice from raw paddy field.

Kuching Power Station

Kuching electricity station @ Kuching Power station at Jalan Power across the Old Fire Station.The power station build in 1920's replacing the old Government Sawmill.Years later,this power station demolished and new building erected here,name Electra House in 1965.The electra word came from term Electric which was given credit to the old building stand there before.

General Post Office Kuching used to be a bus stop.People waiting for bus here,drop in or drop off the bus.This place is busy daily when people going to work,back to work or during noon time when student wait their bus here.This place stop become a bus stop since end or middle of 2000's.

The Old Sarawak Museum


The Sarawak museum was built in 1889 and opened on 4 August 1891

 The museum extended a new wing in 1911. However, the brick work steps outside the old wing was demolished in 1912. The building was built to permanently house and display local indigenous arts and crafts, and collections of local animals.
